A trip to Kenya is one you will never regret

Allow me to share some of my experiences in Kenya

1 A home of the Big Five

The African Elephant,Lion,Leopard,Black rhino,African Buffalo

Kenya Owns,24 national parks,15 national reserves, 6 marine parks, and private conservancies.

The likes of:

-Amboseli national park

Well known for the large population of Jumbos(Elephants) and the awesome views of Mt.Kilimanjaro

-The Maasai Mara National Reserve

Famously know for the wildbeest migration as of July- September every year and the Visit to the Maasai Village,a tribe commonly known for the uniqueness of their culture.

-The Samburu National reserve

The home of the special five animals: Reticulated Giraffe,Grevy's Zebra,Somali Ostrich,Beisa Oryx and Gerenuk

-Tsavo East and West

One of the largest parks in the world,Apart from wildlife viewing, you get a chance to visit the Mzima Springs, the roaring rocks and Taita hills wildlife Sanctuary

2.The beautiful beaches

The likes of Diani beach,Watamu beach,Kilifi beach,Nyali beach and the Lamu beach

Along the Kenyan Coastline i will share about:

-The Lamu Island(The car free Island)

It is the oldest and best-preserved Swahili settlement in East Africa. It still retains its traditional functions.

From Manda Airstrip in Lamu, you use a boat for transfers  to the hotel. The boats dock close or at your destination.

The unique and amazing part is that donkeys are the main mode of transport in lamu, traders and locals use the animals for all their transfers.Lamu is a car free island.

Try the donkey ride when you get there😉

3 The Giraffe Manor

The giraffe manor located in the langata suburbs of Nairobi provides an opportunity to get away from all the stress and enjoy the beautiful sceneries. It is also known as a home for the Rothschild’s giraffes which are often seen in the mornings and evenings before retreating in the wild. During this visits people are allowed to interact with them and even feed them. This is one of the most talked activity of the place.

4 The Great migration

The migration starts around July and or early August when the animals arrive in the Masai Mara National Reserve from the Serengeti in our neighbouring country in Tanzania. The first of the now extremely tired and exhausted animals arrive at the Mara River, to face a fast flowing river filled with hungry crocodiles lying in wait and an audience of tourists on the opposite bank to witness this awesome,Experience. Literally hundreds of thousands of desperate wildebeest can gather together on the banks of the river, gazing wistfully across the turbulent water at the green grass on the other side but not one animal will make a move. All it takes is one brave wildebeest to literally take the plunge, so to speak, and then they will all follow.

If not Kenya, where else can you think of??
